Danajský Dar is the new tape from czech free rock/ motorik unit Raw Deal.
It makes you wonder: What if the groove had teeth? What if the horizon proved to be the maw of an unknown beast?
Ride along the carousel of rhythm as it pulls you underneath the bassline while gently fluctuating, little by little in order for all of the instruments to exchange places, to work as one solid hive-mind, creating a vibrant pad of sound, one that lulls you while gently undulating as if floating on a body of water. The drums drive you along, at first giving you the impression of a chill stride, a stride that alternates with quicker and quicker steps, changing pace in a subtle yet decisive manner. While the toms are resting, the electronic section is boiling aggressively, allowing the guitar to speak clearly through the mystic fog of distorted keys. An album that packs a lot of punch and an absurd amount of virtuous groove!
