Sheffield Square - Быть Никем (MC)

Rooted in Donetsk, but currently residing in Dutch countryside, Sheffield Square is a bedroom neo-folk project by Alexey Postolenko. His latest transmission from current home near Hengelo, is called Быть Никем (To Be Nobody / Být nikým) and is now released by Stoned to Death Tapes. Album, sung in russian (same as all Sheffield Square ep’s and albums), offers 13 songs on which Postolenko further explore the possibilities of foggy neo-folk and melts the genre with detours to collage music, homebrewed drone and careful listener can even hear some perhaps unintended references to minimalist songwriting of Oldřich Janota or “tearoom ambient” movement.

Album is released on tape. In edition of 65 copies. With Riso printed covers by Kudla Werkstatt.
