Sedem Minút Strachu / Jasnovidec (n°210, cassette/digital)

Jasnovidec, as they claim in the booklet of this cassette, has recorded their track in a state of total mental depravity. That's no surprise, as they recorded this track during their residence in Pardubice, Czech town, where mental depravity actually originates from. Trust me, we have no shortage of it here. I have heard couple of stories from this recording session and i can confirm, it all reflects on this track quite well: chinese black soy tofu for dinner every night, hot and steamy day recording sessions and delirious nights at tropical hotel not unsimilar to conditions on Marlowe’s boat in Heart of Darkness.

You probably would not think that a split with Sedem Minút Strachu could be an ideal match, but just listen to it. Crude modular synth noise ride on one side of the tape, and absurdist over the top mangel noise core on other side. SMS are of course ultimate legends of a genre, which we familiarly call “no time for toilet” (based on SMS most played track) and they are honestly one of the kind in about 500 km perimeter. Loud, abrasive, mental, with a singer whose vocal sounds like ten toilets are being flushed at once and he barely finishes their (7 minute long sets) without splitting his head open or getting some finger(s) unjointed.

This audio cassette is released in limited edition of 60 copies (many of them gone on the “early” release show in October). Designed by master Ondřej Myšinský.
