Within our ring of fire, there is no other band so free and boundless such as The Mond. The Mond is czech / finish and american trio based in Prague. Few days ago when we held the release party of this 7”, czech avant-garde ambassador Vojta Staněk told me this: “this is not free jazz, this is free trash.” And hes right. The Mond is wild mixer, frenzy, heavily abstract, hypnotic, free. Never absurd though. Future Trash single is their 5th release for Stoned to Death and as always, i have to urge to play it over and over and just keep myself in the realm of The Mond. The Mond is Petr Vrba, Ken Ganfield and Pasi Mäkelä.
